Did you know the neighborhood we live in can affect our happiness and sense of peace in multiple ways.  Just think, it is where we spend one of the largest chunks of time..(other than school or work) So doesn’t it make sense to take some time to invest in our relationships with our neighbors?  Hey if you choose they could even be considered extended family.

My family is spread across the states. From Michigan/Chicago, to New Jersey, all the way over to California, back across to Florida, and then back up to Georgia!  There’s more but I think you get the picture. To be in close in person relationships with them is virtually impossible. Well maybe virtually possible! Anyway, even though I speak with my immediate family every day…multiple times a day, I found myself longing for that face to face interaction and FaceTime doesn’t cut it. So what do I do? Pick up and move? That is an option but not a good one for right now. See my baby girl is in college and I really don’t want to leave her at least until she has decided what to do after graduation.  Therefore I had a choice to make. Keep longing for what I don’t have or BLOOM WHERE I AM PLANTED.  For me, that meant getting out and being intentional about building real relationships with the people around me.
